A Message from the WCHA President ....John Westerling

It has taken me all of this past year to become settled into the position of President; however, it has been an extremely rewarding year! I have met so many wonderful people and benn a part of so many exciting activities. I am honored to act as your President and my thanks goes out to all of you for your continued support, cooperation and guidance!

My goal this past year was to bring forward meetings that were educational, interesting and fun. I believe that I met that goal; however, it never would have been possible without the hard work of the entire Board of Directors. These gentlemen, who I have come to call friends, have gone out of their way to bring forward new ideas, to create informative meetings, and they have reached out to all of our membership to increase participation at our events.

Our success would not have been possible without all of those who helped us throughout the year: Lisa who acts as our dedicated Secretary and Treasurer, the folds who help us to run events, the volunteers who act as judges, and so many others who work behind the scenes to help everything run smoothly. My thanks, and the thanks to the Board, goes out to you all.

The heard and soul of the Association is the membership, both Municipal Members and Sustaining Members. These two groups need one another to be successful in their jobs, and we need all of you to continue your participation to make this Association successful. The Board strives to create events that will be mutually beneficial to both groups and will bring out as many people as possible. This past year saw tremendous attendance by both groups and our thanks goes out to you all for your continued support.

My goal for the upcoming year is to reach deeper into the membership and to encourage greater participation. I will strive, along with the Board, to continue to create events that are irresistible, to make the Association a greater tool in your careers, and to make membership in the Worcester County Highway Association one of your most valued assets.
